SciStarter, Arizona State University and the National Girls Collaborative Project are helping libraries across the country gain the confidence, skills, and knowledge necessary to engage their communities in citizen science by launching The National Citizen and Community Science Library Network. Citizen science is a global movement that enables people from all walks of life to collaborate with scientists by participating in real scientific research. It’s how people can make an impact on issues they care about, from water pollution to Alzheimer's disease. Join us to learn the benefits of the library network and how to make your library a community hub for citizen science.

Leap into Science is a nationwide program developed by The Franklin Institute and supported by The National Girls Collaborative Project, that integrates open-ended science activities with children’s books, designed for children ages 3-10 and their families. Leap into Science empowers educators to offer programs in community settings like libraries to engage diverse families in accessible and familiar settings. Join us to learn ways to support STEAM and literacy with young children and their families in your community.
