Description

Research shows that men have a key role to play in the advancement of women in STEM. Join us to learn strategies and resources (including the Male Allies Toolkit from NCWIT) that male parents, educators, and professionals can use to become effective allies to girls and women pursuing STEM! There is a growing need for male allies to advocate for greater gender equity in the STEM fields. Male allies advocate for and work to create more inclusive environments or cultures that will ultimately benefit everyone. Research shows that when men are deliberately engaged in gender inclusion programs, organizations see progress. However, there is often uncertainty about the most effective ways for men to support and advocate for girls and women in STEM. Join us for this webinar that will share resources, tactics, and practical strategies for male allies, including the National Center for Women and Information Technology’s (NCWIT) Male Allies Toolkit. Parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals are all encouraged to attend this webinar! Confirmed speakers include:

  • Joanne Esch, Senior Research Associate, National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT)
  • Snehal Bhakta, Career and Technical Education (CTE) Administrator for the Clark County School District
  • Joshua Sneideman, VP Learning Blade, Father, Author, & Girls in STEM Advocate
